These ten illustrations are a visual aid for presenting the results of the feasibility study for a possible IBA Munich for the Metropolitan Region. The study was conducted by “urbanista”, a studio for Urban Strategies, Urban Research and Participation from Hamburg, as well as STUDIO | STADT | REGION” and “Studio urbane Landschaften”.
The “Internationale Bauausstellung”, short IBA, is an instrument of visionary urban development where people are researching and developing live, just like in a lab, within a given time frame. Visitors do not only see new architecture, but also projects with a social, economical and cultural focus.
